It’s a story of a middle-class family, from the town of Tunga, trying to survive from a war that had been raging in their country for several months; a war that crossed their town when the family was struggling with serious relational and financial challenges. While trying to quickly find a way to leave town, they get separated. They then have to find a way back together without being eaten by the war.

AUTHOR’S BIOGRAPHY
Asifiwe Kasereka Jeremie, a.k.a. Askas Jeremy, is a young novelist from The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), currently living in Uganda. Born on 11th October 1996, he grew up in the Eastern region of DRC, in a town called Butembo, where he finished his pre-university studies in Latin and Philosophy. He then moved to Uganda where he got a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Information Technologies at Uganda Martyrs University. He picked interest in writing in high school. He started writing small pieces of poems and essays, before shifting to writing novels. His stories are mostly fictional but greatly inspired by the instability and wars that have been raging in his country of origin since 1960.
